Call (254) 855-9885 See our ratesRobinson has its own police department at 111 West Lyndale Avenue, so most arrests inside the city limits are made by Robinson officers rather than the county. The McLennan County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Public Safety also work the area, particularly the highways.
Whichever agency makes the arrest, the destination is the same. There is no jail in Robinson. Everyone arrested on a bondable charge in McLennan County is booked into the McLennan County Detention Center on East Highway 6 in Waco, which is the only facility in the county where bonds are posted.
The Robinson Municipal Court sits in the same building as the police department on West Lyndale. Like every Texas municipal court it handles Class C misdemeanors and traffic citations — tickets, in other words, which are settled with the court that issued them and do not involve a bondsman at all.
Anything above that — a Class A or B misdemeanor, or a felony — goes to the county, and that is where we come in. If you are not sure which kind of charge you are dealing with, call us and describe it. It costs nothing to ask and it takes a minute to settle.
