Call (254) 855-9885 See our ratesLacy Lakeview has its own police department at 503 East Craven Avenue, next door to City Hall. Arrests inside the city are generally made by its officers; the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office and DPS cover the county roads and the interstate.
Lacy Lakeview is one of the closer towns to the detention center, which sits north-east of Waco on East Highway 6. Everyone arrested on a bondable charge in the county is booked there, and it is the only facility in McLennan County where bonds are posted.
The Lacy Lakeview Municipal Court sits at City Hall on East Craven Avenue and adjudicates Class C misdemeanor cases — traffic, city ordinance, state code, juvenile and parking matters. Those are resolved with the court that issued them.
A bondable charge is handled at the county, and that is our side of it. We write felony bonds and Class A and B misdemeanor bonds, file within 30–45 minutes of the agreement being signed, and tell you honestly what the jail’s own queue looks like that night.
